Der Austausch mit unserer Partnerschule Stony Point High School
in Round Rock, Texas findet seit 2005 im Rahmen des GAPP statt.
Beim German-American Partnership Program handelt es sich um das größte Partnerschaftsprogramm amerikanischer und deutscher Schulen. Im letzten Jahr nahmen 755 Schulen und mehr als 10.500 Schüler an Angeboten des GAPP teil. Das GAPP wurde 1977 gegründet und wird vom Goethe-Institut in New York und seit 1982 vom Pädogogischen Austauschdienst (PAD) der Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK) betreut. Ziel des Programms ist es, die Zusammenarbeit deutscher und US-amerikanischer Schulen zu fördern und es Schülern zu ermöglichen im Rahmen eines Schüleraustausches die Kultur des Gastlandes kennen zu lernen und die Sprachkenntnisse zu erweitern.

Dresscode: Verboten ist...
- Shorts can be no shorter than mid-thigh or no shorter than the fingertips, whichever is shorter.
- Spandex shorts or pants
- Shorts that are distracting, including wind shorts, jogging shorts, bicycling shorts/pants or other tight fitting shorts/pants
- Extremely short shirts, halter tops, tank tops or other shirts with deep-cut openings or shirts that do not cover the shoulders
- Any clothing which reveals undergarments
- Shirts that are distracting
- Torn, cut, ripped, frayed jeans/clothing
- Slacks/pants/shorts worn below the waist
- Duster coats/trench coats
- Tight fitting clothing
- Clothing, accessories, or tattoos with reference to alcohol, drugs, sex, tobacco, vulgar language, violence, gang-related affiliation, or other symbols that detract from the learning environment.
- Gang-related attire (colors, bandanas, shoe laces, symbols)
- Bedroom attire (pajamas, slippers, etc.)
- Visible body piercing, including the tongue, excluding the ear
- Caps, or any other head covering in the building
- Excessive or distractive make-up
- Chains intended for use on animals, including spiked collars
- Hair which is not a natural human color (yellow, blue, pink, etc.) or which may cause disruption to the school environment.
